Is This The America You Want?

"DEATH PANELS" AT THE ELECTION BOOTHS 11/23/2009

We all have read about the "death panels" that Sarah Palin so aptly coined. And whether or not you agree or disagree with her assesment on health care reform, ( and I for one do agree with her), most Americans can agree that these thousand page bills will cost in the trillions.

And while most of us can agree that health care needs reforms, an overwhelming majority of Americans are happy with the health care they now have. How and why did this administration decide to push this issue to the front burner of most important issues the US now faces? Poll after poll indicates the most important issues on Americans minds is loss of jobs and the tanking economy. Maybe they just don't get it? Or maybe they are just too arrogant and decide it's my way or the highway? After all they control congress in the senate and the house. They are plotting a dangerous course with huge expansion of government and uncontrollable spending. Can you feel your freedoms and American way of life being sucked away? If you don't I have some beach front property on the moon you might be interested in.

Now if you are happy with the direction on this path this administration is forging, perhaps a class in remedial history should be considered. A "summer school", if you will, that explains why our founding fathers created a "Constitution" and a "Bill of Rights". And why millions of our military have died defending these documents and what they stand for.

So I for one will be creating my own "Death Panel", figuratively speaking, when I enter the voting booth in upcoming elections. If you as a candidate or encumbent are not listening to and following the wishes of the folks who are voting you into office or have in the past voted you into office, we will be pulling the plug on your life support as a politician!

Now that is change YOU can believe in!
